Publishers of Community Newspapers and Magazines in Delta State under the aegis of Association of Community Newspaper and Magazine Publishers of Nigeria, ACNPN have felicitated with the President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd.) and the Delta State Governor-Elect, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on their victories at the poll, saying it is time to gear up for the responsibility ahead.
In a press statement by the Delta State Chairman of ACNPN, Comrade Precious Enebuse, the association admonished the incoming administrations to put aside party politics and all forms of ethnic or religious sentiment to focus on the huge responsibilities ahead.
The statement which was issued by ACNPN Public Relations Officer, Comrade Anthony Ebule on behalf of the State Chairman, Comrade Precious Enebuse, pledged the resolve of members of the association to partner the incoming Federal and Delta State governments in serving as veritable means of bridging communication between the government and the people, with a view to ensuring even socio-economic development.
ACNPN charged the President-Elect to tackle corruption headlong and initiate policies as well as programmes that will promote merit and reduce mediocrity in the public and private sector, insisting that only such approach will bring the desired change in the country.
