Following report by an Itsekiri social media group, Itsekiri Gist that a Chevron staff in the Escravos Tank Farm, Mr. M. Ejeh allegedly claimed that Ugborodo community leaders were more concerned about their contracts with Chevron rather than the community plight following the recent face off between Ugborodo women and CNL over electricity supply, the said Mr. M. Ejeh has distanced himself from the faceless online publication.
In an exclusive electronic mail to Fresh Angle International, Mr. M. Ejeh explained that he was never privy to any round table talk between his company and Ugborodo community leaders, let alone discussed with anyone on the purported interest of the community leaders on the supply of diesel to Chevron rather than the community people’s plight.
He enjoined those behind the publication to verify their facts before posting comments about people on the social media so as not to mislead the public and malign the character of responsible citizens in the society.
