Two indigenes of Ugbomro community in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, Celestine Ukah and Famous Orhoma have threatened the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, FUPRE, Ugbomro with legal action over their perceived unlawful dismissal from the institution.
Their appointments were purportedly terminated by FUPRE February 2014 after undergoing due process of employment January same year and even received more than a month salary.

According to them, Prof. Amange and the School Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibadhodhe are conniving to make sure the crisis between FUPRE and Ugbomro community continue for their selfish interest.
The Ugbomro people wonder why the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has not been able to resolve the misunderstanding between the institution and its host community despite several appeal to him.
They called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to investigate the activities of FUPRE, particularly the Governing Council headed by Senator Nimi Amange.
Senator Amange is also being accused of employing more of his kinsmen from Bayelsa State into the institution without recourse to due process.
