The Police at Oghara Division in Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta State in partnership with the local vigilante in the area have arrested three suspected hoodlums, who purportedly confessed to membership of a seven-man kidnap gang, Fresh Angle International has learnt.
A statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP Celestina Kalu and made available to Our Correspondent, explained that some strange faces suspected to be hoodlums were seen around Otefe-Oghara and that prompted Surveillance Operatives attached to Oghara Division in partnership with the local vigilante to swing into action.
The statement added that it was during the raid that two of the suspects; one Efe Sosorobia, age 27 of No. 8 Efegure, Oghareki-Oghara and Oyibo Share Lucky of Jesse Town were apprehended.
According to the Police, it was during interrogation that the two young men allegedly admitted membership of a seven-man kidnap gang terrorizing the Oghara area. They also reportedly confessed that their gang was responsible for the kidnap of one late Chief Onovigho Prince.
Meanwhile, the third member of the gang, Ambrose Omoniyi of Mosogar was arrested a day after the other two members were nabbed, while secret investigation is ongoing to apprehend the remaining four members.
