Police arrest five cultists in Kwale, foil robbery attack at Ozoro

The Delta State Police Command have arrested five suspected male cultists at Kwale and foiled an attempted robbery in Ozoro, both in Delta State Fresh Angle International can report.        

According to a statement released Tuesday February 23 by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP, Celestina Ukah, the five cultists are: Efi Gideon, Emmanuel Anthony Ononoma, Ikoko Prince aka Obaleze from Ebendo Community as well as Ogenero Orize and Ekufia Jeffrey from Umuseti community, both in Kwale, even as the sixth suspect, Gabriel Udo escaped.                                     

Our Correspondent, reports that the arrest of the suspects who are between the ages of 20 and 35 years was made possible with the help of community leaders who offered intelligence to the police.                                         

Items recovered from the suspected cultists include pots containing five expended cartridges, charms, two Eiye blue berets, native bullet proof arm band, seven live cartridges, a cut-to-size barrel gun loaded with live cartridge, substances suspected to be hard drugs, matchet, black face masks and nine cell phones.

Meanwhile, the Police in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area have foiled an attempted robbery in the home of a Vigilante identified as Mr. John Usoro along Mission Road, Ozoro.                                      

The Police team reportedly acted on prompt information by the victim and it was their response that made the hoodlums to abandon a locally made pistol and live cartridge.
