The Itsekiri Interest Group, IIG, says Delta State INEC Registrar and the INEC E.O for Warri South Local Government Area, “must go to jail for Contempt of Court Judgment and disobeying a directive from INEC Headquarters in Abuja for more than a decade, to implement the Judgement of both the Federal High Court and Federal Court of Appeal.”
Fresh Angle International can report that IIG, made the declaration in an electronic statement released in Warri, Delta State, Tuesday February 21.
The statement e-signed by the Chairman and Legal Advisor of Itsekiri Interest Group, Mr. Gbubemi Awala and Barr. Fredrick Egbe, respectively, averred: “The Itsekiri Interest Group after witnessing another case of illegal Ward Structure on 17th of January 2023. Proceedings in Suit No: the 17th of FHC/WR/CS/105/2022: Between Jalogho-Williams Hosanna Vs. INEC & 4 Ors on the 17th day of January, 2023.
“Itsekiri Interest Group, were satisfied with the declaration of the court that the 12 wards structure currently used by INEC in Warri South is Illegal. We therefore advise the Delta State Registrar of INEC and the E.O Warri South to follow the court order or go to jail.”
