The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Mofe Edema says his administration has formed synergy with the ‘B’ Division of Nigeria Police, Warri, the National Orientation Agency, NOA, community leaders and local vigilantes in the renewed spirit of operation keep Warri clean.
Hon. Edema made the disclosure Saturday March 5 at the Police ‘B’ Division in Warri during an interview with Newsmen shortly after monitoring the clearing of drains, wastes, overgrown weeds and sand along the Estate Roundabout, Eboh Road, Okere Market, Edjeba, Ajamimogha Road by Olu Palace Junction and other designated Areas of Warri.
Our Correspondent reports that the Warri South Council Boss who was flanked by the Warri South Council Supervisor for Environment, Mr. Kenneth George, the DPO of ‘B’ Division Warri, CSP Anietie Eyoh, the Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officer of National Orientation Agency, NOA, Warri South Local Government Area, Efejuku Julie Omasan as well as community and youth leaders in Okere, Okere-Urhobo and Edjeba communities, gave a 24-hour ultimatum to operators of the tricycle park by the Okumagba Estate Roundabout to relocate. He ordered traders to stop displaying their wares along median of roads in the Estate Area and other parts of Warri.
Commending the community leaders for their cooperation, Hon. Edema gave plaudits to the DPO of Police ‘B’ Division in Warri for the expansive construction work within the division and called on people of Warri South Local Government and other well meaning Nigerians to contribute their quota towards the completion of the projects.
