ACWCN congratulates Delta Governor-Elect, Oborevwori, sets agenda for incoming administration

The Association of Coastal and Waterways Communities of Nigeria, ACWCN, has congratulated Delta State Governor-Elect, Rt. Hon. Sherriff Francis Oborevwori, on his victory in the just concluded Governorship and House of Assembly Polls, urging the incoming governor to immediately set machineries in motion for the smooth take-off of his administration.

This much was contained in a press statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Monday March 27, by the leadership of ACWCN.

In the statement signed by the Delta State Chairman of ACWCN, Engr. Dcn Tuoyo Woligho, the Secretary, Pastor Paul Boyitie and the National President, Comrade Nicholas Bawo Ighomi, the group enjoined the incoming governor, to “sustain peace, clean environment and improve condition of living in the Coastal and Waterways Communities in Delta State, through peaceful dialogue and consultation with relevant authorities.”

ACWCN, also appealed to the governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Oborevwori, to assist in dredging creeks, water channels, rivers and coastal waterways in Delta State and provide speedboats for water transportation for the ease of the local dwellers, when inaugurated as Delta State Chief Executive.

They equally advised the incoming governor to prioritize the clearing of water hyacinth taking over creeks, water channels, rivers, coastal and waterways across the state.
