The Association of Coastal and Waterways Communities of Nigeria, ACWCN, has felicitated with Delta State Senators-Elect; Prince Ned Nwoko, Chief Ede Dafinone and Mr. Joel Onowakpo-Thomas on their election, saying it is time to activate the dredging of Warri River and other abandoned federal government projects in Delta State.
The demand was contained in a goodwill message made available to Fresh Angle International, Monday March 27, by the leadership of ACWCN.
In the goodwill message signed by the Delta State Chairman of ACWCN, Engr. Dcn Tuoyo Woligho, the Secretary, Pastor Paul Boyitie and the National President, Comrade Nicholas Bawo Ighomi, ACWCN, tasked the Senators-Elect, to initiate legislation for the dredging of Warri River from the Escravos bay down to Burutu, Warri, Koko and Sapele Ports.
The group, enjoined the Senators-Elect to ensure that the EPZ Project at Ogidigben, Escravos in Warri South-West Local Government Area, is included in the next Federal Government Budget for full scale execution, saying dredging of Warri River and execution of the EPZ project, will restore social and economic activities back to the coastal and waterways communities In Nigeria and Delta State in particular.
