The Akwa Ibom State Government, has announced plans to commission a total of 60.67km of roads in five days, starting with the commissioning of 3.32km Ring Road II (From Aka Road to Abak Road) Dual Carriageway with one Roundabout and 3.32km Underground Outfall Drain, on Friday April 14.
A statement credited to the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Information and Strategy, mentioned the 3.5km Afaha Iman-Leprosy Hospital Road in Etinan with 0.715km Outfall Drain, scheduled for commissioning Tuesday April 18 and the 12.5km Ikot Akpan Afaha - Ikot Oku Usung Road with one Spur in Ukanafun Local Government Area, billed for commissioning Friday April 21, as part of the 60.67km roads.
The statement released this morning, Thursday April 13, outlined the 23.4km Etinan-Eket Road with three Bridges and 4.11km Outfall Drain as well as 17.95km Anua-Mbak-Ishiet Road with Spurs and 1.65km Outfall Drain in Uyo and Uruan Local Government Areas, as the other two major road projects scheduled for commissioning Tuesday May 2 and Thursday May 4, respectively.
