Nobody will tell me to withdraw my cases, Chief Emami retorts as prosecutor discontinues case of stolen crown

Billionaire businessman, politician and Warri Chief, Ayirimi Emami, has vowed that nobody will tell him to withdraw his cases, regarding the Ologbotsere title and issues of succession to the throne of the Olu of Warri, as prosecutor in the case of purported stolen crown of Warri Kingdom, applied to discontinue the case.

 

The angry Chief Emami, who addressed few of his supporters today, Tuesday April 18, in what looked like a reaction to ‘WITHDRAWAL OF THE CASE OF STOLEN CROWN BY THE WARRI COUNCIL OF CHIEFS’, vowed to help his accusers, search for the said missing crown, saying in Itsekiri Language as interpreted in Queens English: “God knows I have no knowledge of the whereabouts of the crown, nobody in this world will tell me to withdraw the cases I have in court, regarding the Ologbotsere title issue and its related matters.”

 

Chief Emami, addressing some of his supporters;

 

Chief Emami, thanked the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor, a member of the Warri Royal Family, Prince Yemi Emiko and others, who played critical roles in what has now become a failed reconciliation process between himself and other members of the Warri Council of Chiefs.

 

Fresh Angle International understands that the prosecution team led by J. Ikomi, Esq, in Charge No: MW/175/C/2021, between the Delta State Commissioner of Police Vs. Ayirimi Emami, earlier today: “Applied to discontinue the charge as a result of the recent reconciliatory meetings and intervention of well-being Nigerians in the matter.”

 

They applied that the Defendant, Chief Ayirimi Emami, be discharged, “as required by the applicable laws, but not acquitted”, but Counsel to the Defendant, Chief V.E Otomiewo, reportedly opposed and urged the court to acquit the Defendant, to prevent a situation where the Defendant may be re-arraigned in the future.

 

The Court, was said to have considered the arguments of both Counsels, struck out the charge and discharged the Defendant, Chief Emami, accordingly.
