A woman identified by the name, Mrs Marina Itagbor, has been burnt to death over witchcraft allegation, Amnesty International, AI Nigeria, reports.
Mrs. Itagbor, a mother of four children, was reportedly beaten and burnt in the middle of a road at Old Ntem Community in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River state.
According to Amnesty International, the perpetrators, accused the deceased of using witchcraft to cause a car accident, which allegedly claimed the lives of two youths.
Amnesty International, Nigeria, in a tweet in the wee hours of today, Sunday July 2, called for thorough investigation, in order to unearth those responsible for the vicious mob killing and promptly bring them to justice.
