Kogi Guber Polls: Avoid Biafra Order, Ex- Lawmaker Adakeke, admonishes Bassa People

A former majority leader in the Kogi State House of Assembly Alhaji Alhassan Salisu Adakeke has told the People of Bassa Local Government Area of the State to shun ethnic politics which he tagged 'biafra order' admonishing them to vote for the  candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo in the November 11 Governorship election for a better Kogi State.

Addressing crowds of supporters after a road walk championed by Bassa Local Government Area  United for  Usman Ododo/ Joel Oyibo APC campaign team held at the district headquarters of Bassa Local Government Area, the former Kogi Lawmaker said Ahmed Ododo remains the best candidate to consolidate on the achievement of Governor Yahaya Bello.

Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the former majority leader noted that, Alh Usman Ododo has the wealth of experience and a sound modesty required to create  employment opportunities, build infrastructures and sustain the zero tolerance to insecurity in Kogi State.

Hon Adakeke further opined that, the APC candidate is the golden fish who is ready to serve his people.

" Alh Usman Ododo should be encouraged through our massive support to drive home to victory" he said.

Gathered in the occasion, are prominent political figures such as Bassa Local Government Chairman Alhaji. Muhammed Mutar Shaibu, a business tycoon from Kaduna Alhaji (Engr) Usman Nda Muhammed,  former political office holders who were on hand to boost the campaign. 

 In his contribution, the Local Government Area chairman, Alh Muhammed Mutar Shaibu admonished  the people and infact Kogites to come out en-mass and vote for a Alh Usman Ododo, who is tested, trusted and resourceful enough to add to the values already created by His Excellency,  Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.

Alh (Engr). Usman Nda Muhammed tasked electorates to look beyond ethnics and religious line by supporting a candidate like Ododo to move Kogi State forward. 

He added that, under the current administration, Youths, Women's have been given sense of belonging in governance.

The former Kogi state  Lawmaker, Hon Adakeke emphasized that Kogi state  is a leading APC state in the country. 

"The state under his leadership has sustain the victory of the party in all elections including the 2023 presidential, national and state assembly elections. Kogi State remains an APC State, and therefore safe to say in confidence that,  there is  no vacancy in Lugard house" he stated.

He assured the ruling APC that, he will mobilize all critical stakeholders in Bassa Local Government to deliver 100 percent for the ruling party during the Nov. 11, Governorship elections, 

Adakeke also wants the people of Bassa Local Government to avoid any thing that would distract them from making the right of choice of voting for APC the ruling party at the national, State and Local Government Area, stressing that, in the history of politics in Kogi State, the people of Bassa Local Government Area has never voted for opposition party, not even an embryo party driving by personal greed.

Hon Adakeke stressed

 that, " We must maintain our stand of going with the popular and winning party which is APC. Bassa Local We must avoid all forms of distraction. Our candidate in APC is Ododo Usman. 

"He is very vibrant,  enterprising, modest and resourceful  person that deserves our support. As leaders, officers and members of APC, it is mandatory on us to deliver  Ododo. 

"That is why we must distance ourselves from any agenda that is ethic driven. What the state need now is a unified Kogi  agenda where every kogite can aspire to the highest position of authority without regard to his ethnic and religious lining 

"For that reason, we must continue to encourage Women. This Government has continued to encourage youths in governance, hence we should continue to work tirelessly for the victory of APC in the forthcoming election in Kogi State".

He, however, sued  for peace to return to troubled areas in Bassa Local Government Area. 

His words "His Excellency,  Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello, has demonstrated enough concern for the ongoing crises in the LGA. It is his desire that, the crises should stop and the affected people returned to their various homes. He believes seriously that, our commitment to the peace search is important.

"We are here because this seach is commensing today. The Egbira Mozum people here  today is in high number . Same for Bassa komo who went into Mozum in appreciation of the newly found peace adventure".

Various political big weight who spoke at the widely attended political ceremony all pledged their unalloyed support for the Victory of APC in Bassa Local Government come November 2023.

According to them, there is no better alternative then Ododo who track records speaks volumes and is always committed to consolidate on the good job of Governor Yahaya Bello.

Highpoint of the ceremony is the decamping of over 500 members of the People Democratic Party, (PDP), Social Democratic Party, (SDP), Accord Party to the ruling APC in Mozum, Gboloko and Bassa komo district. Hon Alhassa Salisu also  donationed his guest house in Mozum to Ododo/Oyibo campaign activities in Mozum district and the the Ododo independence campaign which is powered by  a Kaduna base business tycoon, Alh. Usman Nda Muhammed.
