The National Coordinator, South-South Reawakening Group, Joseph Ambakederimo, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to explore the possibility of increasing funding for the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC and stop political interference, to make the interventionist agency, develop Niger Delta Communities at a faster pace.
Our Principal Correspondent, reports that Joseph Ambakederimo, made the call Tuesday August 15, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday held at Enerhen Road, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, while speaking to select- newsmen on the state of the Nation.
Ambakederimo, who urged the Federal government to allow the present Management of the NDDC, led by Dr. Samuel Ogbuku to complete their term, opined that removing the current leadership of the Commission, would truncate the progress being made by the Ogbuku leadership.
He posited that the last forensic audit of NDDC’s operation initiated by the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, recorded little gains.
