NSCDC in Kogi Restates Commitment To Partner Relevant Organizations To Achieve Set Goals

Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has restated its commitment to partner with groups, agencies or individuals in the quest to discharge her constitutional roles.

 

The Kogi State Commandant of the Corps, Ahmad Ghandi Ahmad, stated this when he received the State branch executive of the Red Cross at the Command’s headquarters, Lokoja.

 

Commandant Ahmad, said the visit was timely in view of the forecast by NiMet, that Kogi State may likely be affected by flood, hence the need for collaboration to address the occurrence when it happens.

 

He commended the Red Cross for proposing a partnership in terms of training of its personnel more on disaster management, to achieve set goals.

 

Earlier, the Kogi State branch of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, IFRC, led by the State Secretary, Alhaji Danjuma A. Usman, said the visit was centered on synergy with the NSCDC to enhance efficient delivery in their line of duty, across the State.

 

He promised the organization’s readiness to render assistance to the Corps in the area of training some of its personnel on the Red Cross activities, for result- oriented purposes.

 

In his remarks, a Senior Security Officer with the Red Cross, IFRC from Abuja, Mr. Moses Taiwo, said he was in the State to aid the organization in carrying out its duties efficiently.
