Court Strikes Out Dino Melaye’s Case Against Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency

A Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja on Monday September 25, struck out a suit filed by the PDP governorship candidate in the forthcoming November 11 Kogi State Governorship election, Dino Melaye.

Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Dino Melaye, had an ex parte motion dated the 12th September, prayed the court to halt the activities of the Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency.

The ex parte motion, further prayed the court to declare the creation of the Agency null and void, stating that its creation was against constitutional provisions.

In determining the order, the Presiding Judge, Justice Ruth Alfa, struck out the motion, “for lack of merit.”

In her ruling, the Judge posited that the ex parte motion was defective and therefore did not even delve into the merit of the injunction.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of the Agency, has announced that the defacing and removal of all unauthorised forms of outdoor advertisement, will commence with immediate effect.

He urged members of the public to head to the Agency and make all necessary payments for all outdoor Advertisement.

He thanked the good people of Kogi State for being law abiding and peaceful, promising to always deliver on the mandate of his Agency, to bring sanity to the Advertisement stratosphere.
