Tragedy struck at about 6:00am Tuesday July 12 (today) when a woman believed to be over 50 years old was hit by an electricity cable which fell as a result of a blast allegedly from a nearby transformer, leaving the unidentified woman to die on the spot.
Fresh Angle International gathered from eye witnesses that the victim came in the early hours of the morning to enable her access the free Medicare Programme organized by Integrated Logistics Limited, INTELS at the non-functional Atuwatse II Primary School, Esisi Road, Warri constructed by the Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan administration in Delta State against the wishes of Okere, the host community.
Our sources say the woman who became tired of standing because nobody was allowed entry into the school premises as at that time, decided to sit down on top of a plank placed across blocks opposite the primary school. Apparently unaware of the imminent danger, the BEDC high powered electricity cable directly on top of where she sat, fell on her and she died on the spot.

Remains of the unidentified electrocuted woman
When your soar-away International Tabloid visited the scene at about 8:55am, about 3 hours later, the remains of the woman who some alleged came all the way from a distant community had been taken to an undisclosed hospital morgue by her children and sympathizers, just as hundreds of persons awaiting take-off of the free Medicare Programme were seen discussing the unfortunate incident in low tones.
