Momentum is gradually building for the New Year Eve market rush in Warri, Delta state.
As at 12 noon today, Sunday December 31, when Our Co Publisher/ Editor - In - Chief, passed through the NPA Expressway by Ugbuwangue, Warri, traders, mostly from the Northern part of the country, had erected makeshift structures at the median of the road, showcasing live chickens for sale.
Some persons returning from church, were seen pricing the chickens, some of which were held by the traders.
The price for the chickens ranges between N8,000 and N15,000, depending on the sizes and type (layers or broilers).
It is expected that the rush for last minutes New Year purchases, would intensify towards evening today at the Ugbuwangue Market, Igbudu and other major markets in the city.
