It was an atmosphere filled with joy and gratitude as Bessi and Gbone Foundation on Thursday 4th January donated 25kg bags of rice worth millions of Naira, each to aged women in Warri, Delta State.

Speaking during the outreach, the convener and founder of Bessie and Gbone Foundation, Hon. Alero Tenumah, said she started the foundation because of the love her late mother, Bessi, had for the aged people in the society.

“My mum was a nurse who would give to the less privileged women in the creeks , she would ensure everyone had something to eat before she eats the leftover. "

“ Unfortunately, she passed on last year, and I thought of what better way to honor her and continue with her legacy, than to start a foundation that will not only cater to the aged people but also to the Orphans in our society."
