DESOPADEC staff celebrate Efele’s birthday by visiting Orphanage/ Old People’s Home

In felicitation of the birthday anniversary of the Executive Director of Planning, Research and Statistics of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon Nicholas Eyewuoma Efele, staff of department of Planning Research and Statistics, on Tuesday February 13, visited an orphanage and old people’s home on behalf of the celebrant.

 

 

Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that the delegation of staff and some members of the Association of Itsekiri Staff in DESOPADEC (AISID) were led by the Head of Department, Mr. Anthony Omaenikun and the Special Assistant to the EDPRS, Mr. Ukalami Ekpoko.

 

They visited the Obruche Orphanage Home at Okere Ugborikoko Road and the Catholic Diocese of Warri Old People’s Home, Bowen Avenue, Warri. 

 

Mr. Omaenikun who spoke at the two occasions said they had come to celebrate with the children and elderly by showing love with the gifts and food items provided for them on behalf of their boss.

He said, Hon. Efele is a philanthropist, known for his compassion for underprivileged and strong believer in giving back to society. 

 

Food items such as bags of rice, garri, cartons of noodles, biscuits, tubers of yams, detergents and others were presented to the children and elderly by Mr. Ukalami Ekpoko, Special Assistant to Executive Director for planning Research and Statistics, Hon. Nicholas Efele 

 

In appreciation, the caregiver of Obruche Orphanage Home, Mrs. Oghenevwede Abiye Sibi and children who were excited, sang praises to God to felicitate Hon. Efele and prayed for long life, good health and more prosperity for him and his family.

 

On her part, Mrs. Nwalia Augustina, the caregiver of the Catholic Diocese of Warri Old People’s Home, thanked the delegates for coming to visit them, while the oldest man, and woman Mr Tom Oboh and Mrs. Bethel Uduaran prayed for the celebrant.
