The new Chief Inspector of Education in Warri South Local Government, Dr. Samson Ugbejeh, has appealed for the support of the Executive Council of Warri South Local Government, to enable him advance basic education in the area, saying he cannot achieve anything without the Council’s support.
Dr. Ugbejeh, made the appeal, Thursday February 15, when he led a delegation of staff of Delta State Ministry of Education in Warri, on a familiarization visit to the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Ejueyitsi Tidi.
The CIE, who noted that he was ready to partner the Council in whatever capacity as he did in previous local government areas where he served, stated: “We will be coming to discuss some of our projects with the local government.
“I am fully on ground to move education forward in Warri South. I can't achieve anything without the Council's support.”
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi in his response, averred: “Be rest assured of our support in and out of government, because we are critical stakeholders. We must speak to our parents and communities, on the need for pupils and students to protect infrastructures in public schools.

“We love education in Warri South, let Warri South comes first going forward, like you did in your previous local government areas of service.”
Dr. Tidi, who frowned against the use of public schools for events, asked the CIE to address the situation and tackle the issue of cultism.
“I was told some of the cultists harass teachers. Don't hesitate to call on security agencies whenever the need arises”, the Warri South Local Government Boss, charged Dr. Ugbejeh.
