Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and business mogul, Chief Ayirimi Emami, says anyone loyal to him, is a result of his stand for Itsekiri core value and heritage, not because of money, saying, he will not subscribe to any fight in Warri.

Chief Emami, who made the declaration in an interview with ‘Inside the Niger Delta’ and Fresh Angle International, Thursday March 7, at his palatial home in Warri, Delta State, noted inter-alia: “I always tell people, everybody has limited time on earth, but what you leave behind, will speak for itself. What some of us are fighting today in Warri kingdom, are laid down procedures by our forefathers. One must keep to the constitution. I don’t do things on my own, I don’t do outside the ambit of the law. How can you say we have doctors, lawyers and former governor in Itsekiri Nation, yet they are not willing to see what is causing the problem in Warri Kingdom. I will not take the disagreement within us (Itsekiris) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because I have issues that will impact positively on my people that I need to discuss with him.”

On the recent controversy in Okere Community, Warri, he said: “I am somebody that promotes peace and Okere people are peace-loving. That is the centre of Warri and if you want to have fun, good hospitality in Warri, if it is both ghetto life and any life you think of, you’ll go to Okere Community. I cannot actually tell exactly what happened, because I was not on ground at that moment, I was in Sapele but, after several hours, we heard that people were shot and were rushed to various hospitals in Warri. Some were macheted.”

Chief Emami, averred: “When people say ‘ohhhh, drop this Ologbotsere issue, what do you need this Ologbotsere for? What do you want to do with Ologbotsere? You’re still a young man. Yes, I have nothing to achieve with Ologbotsere, I don’t go out to do business and say I am the Ologbotsere. If I go somewhere, I will tell people I am Ayirimi Emami. I don’t even say Chief and If I knock at your door and say Ayirimi, they know it’s me. I was discussing with a very top friend of mine in this country one day, he asked me, is Ayirimi your surname? I said ‘no’, it’s my own name. I’ve been able to carve out something for myself, but in doing this, I follow the principles laid down by our forefathers.”
