In a bid to protect the lives of pupils, students and residents of Ugbuwangue Community in Warri South Local Government Area, a Non-Governmental Organization whose membership cuts across religious and ethnic affiliations, Mango Men Club has commissioned speed-breakers and Zebra Crossing signs it solely funded at Ugbuwangue, Warri, Fresh Angle International can report.
President of Mango Club, Comrade Lucky Okitie Edun who spoke exclusively to Our Senior Correspondent Friday January 6 during the commissioning, explained that the decision to embark on the projects was to “protect the lives of pupils, students and other commuters plying the major entry and exit road in Ugbuwangue Community”, adding that it is part of the club’s “effort to better the lives of people in the area”.
While noting that the passion for service is paramount to Mango Men Club, Comrade Edun quipped that government alone cannot carry out the responsibility of catering for the citizenry, hence the decision to embark on the road safety projects as well as environmental sanitation in the Delta Community.
He admonished vehicle owners to drive in caution in obedience to the safety signs and promised that the club will embark on more people-oriented projects in the quest at building a better society for all.
