Okumagba identifies resources as impediment to Okowa’s experience

The President-General of Okere-Urhobo, Warri and Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba has identified “limited resources as impediment to Okowa’s experience” in his determination to ensure an all-round development of Delta State.

Chief Okumagba who made the declaration in Warri Monday January 30 in an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle International, described Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as second to none, saying successive governments in Delta State neglected Otor-Orore, the traditional headquarters of Okere-Urhobo, Warri.

According to him, most communities in Warri have had some form of development, but Okere-Urhobo headquarters had never smelt any form of development.

While noting that the community’s representation to Dr. Okowa in just two weeks of his administration resulted in the commissioning of nine roads in Okere-Urhobo, Chief Okumagba admonished Dr. Okowa “who is one of the most experienced man in the saddle of leadership” to ensure that the ministries have some form of clear autonomy to enable them perform better in-line with the SMART agenda.

On the leadership crisis in Warri South Legislative Arm, the Warri Urhobo leader insisted that there was an agreement by PDP leaders in the Local Government to cede the House Leadership position to Okere-Urhobo in the spirit of oneness.

He blamed some leaders of the party for the crisis in the Warri South Legislative Arm and commended PDP Vice Chairman in-charge of Delta South, Mr. Agbaduba for summoning a meeting of leaders as well as the councilors with a view to finding amicable solution.
