Leaders of Peoples Democratic Party in Warri North Local Government Area, earlier today in Sapele, reportedly adopt a former two-term Councilor in the local government, Hon. Festus Ashima, as the Warri North PDP Chairmanship candidate in the Delta State Local Government poll, coming up July 13.
Chairman of Eghoro Ward in Warri North Local Government Area, Comr. Jolomi Ikpere, who dropped the hint in a telephone chat with our Editor-In-Chief, this afternoon, expressed happiness with the choice of Hon. Festus Ashima, saying: “I congratulate him and thank the leaders of Warri North, for considering someone from Eghoro Ward.”
Ikpere, who was one of the chairmanship aspirants, before the reported endorsement of Hon. Ashima, described Ashima as a very calm and humble person.

Fresh Angle International, understands that the choice of Ashima, who is the current PDP Youth Leader in Warri North Local Government Area, was purportedly agreed at the Sapele residence of Chief Otimeyin Adams.
Former Chairmen of Warri North Local Government Area such as Hon. Michael Diden, Chief Solomon Arenyeka and Hon Aduge Okorodudun as well as a member of Delta State Executive Council, Dr Isaac Wilkie, were allegedly present during the meeting.
Other Chieftains of PDP said to have attended the meeting, are; Bishop Sunny Jero, Chief Lucky Tiemo, Sunny Abilo, Dio Tanga, Engr. Nelson Ominije, Dr. Gemuge and Hon. Nicholas.
