Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Honorable Ahmed Imam has blamed poor implementation of 2016 budget in the State on internal tussles in the State Legislature, admitting the Assembly failed to embark on regular oversight as a result of the crisis.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Hon. Ahmed Imam gave the hint shortly after supervising various ministries who appeared before the State House of Assembly for their budget Defence.
The Speaker noted that the Assembly intends to finish work on the 2017 budget by end of February to help the executive fulfill its promise to kogites, just as he promised to ensure proper implementation of the budget through oversight functions when passed into Law.
