The new Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Lucky Avweromre PhD, has disclosed plans by his administration to give facelift to the Council secretariat, to make it more conducive for the political and civil service classes to effectively carryout their responsibilities.
Our Ughelli South Bureau Chief, reports that Dr. Lucky Avweromre, gave the promise, when he undertook a tour of all offices and residential quarter, within the Council Secretariat at Otu-Jeremi, headquarters of Ughelli South Local Government Area.
The Ughelli South Council Boss, emphasized the need for government to be closer to the people, in order to feel their pains/needs and subsequently take measures to address same.
The Head of Personnel Management, Ughelli South Local Government Council, Mr. Austin Emaduku, who took Dr. Avweromre on the familiarization tour of the Council Secretariat, introduced the Heads of Departments, unit heads and other staff within each department to the Chairman.
Fresh Angle International, can report that Dr. Avweromre, was accompanied on the tour by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Happy Mukoro, some Councilors, Treasurer to the Local Government, Mr. Adibor as well as the branch chairman and secretary of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE.
