Elders’ Council of HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter, labels Oruru impostor

The Elders’ Council of Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil & Gas (HOSTCOM) Itsekiri Chapter, has reportedly described Mr. Godwill Oruru as impostor, saying Mr. Oruru, “has been presenting himself as the authentic representative of the chapter to various individuals, organizations, including and not limited to DESOPADEC and Delta State Government.”

In an electronic statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Tuesday October 8, the Elders’ Council of HOSTCOM Itsekiri chapter, while stating that Comr. Itse Omajugho, is the authentic Chairman of HOSTCOM Itsekiri chapter, as recognized by the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, averred: “This egregious act of deception by Mr. Godwill Oruru, has caused harm and confusion among our association members, and has the potential to undermine the legitimate interests and activities of HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter.”

The statement credited to the Chairman Elders’ Council and the Secretary, Elders’ Council of HOSTCOM, Itsekiri Chapter, Pa. Samuel Iyonsi and Pa. Oritsetimeyin Tonukanrin, respectively, noted inter-alia: “We affirm that Comr. Itse Omajugho is the duly elected and recognized Chairman of HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter and any claims by Mr. Oruru to this position, are entirely false and misleading.

“We strongly condemn Mr. Oruru's actions and demand that he ceases and desists from any further impersonation. We also request that appropriate measures be taken to address this situation and prevent such incidents in the future.

“We stand united in our condemnation of Mr. Oruru's actions and will not tolerate any behavior that undermines the trust and integrity of our association.”
