The Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, has announced suspension of the Council’s Taskforce for Wrong Parking of Vehicle, Tricycle (Keke) and Ughelli Main Market Environmental Sanitation.
Our Ughelli North Bureau Chief, reports that the suspension was based on allegation that some unscrupulous persons among the Taskforce for Wrong Parking of Vehicle, Tricycle (Keke) and Ughelli Main Market Environmental Sanitation, were using the name of the Executive Chairman to extort money illegally from road users and market women.
The suspension, was contained in a statement released today, Monday October 21, by Secretary to Ughelli Local Government, Unuavworho Irikefe Goodluck, on behalf of the Local Government Boss, Olorogun Jaro Egbo.
Whilst noting that all activities of the taskforce are suspended until a proper taskforce is put in place, Olorogun Egbo, emphasized the need for members of the suspended taskforce to refrain from harassing members of the public and stop extorting money forthwith.
