Ughelli South Chairman strengthens mobility of NUT, Legislative Arm with provision of vehicles

The Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Area in Delta State, Dr. Lucky Avweromre, on Monday October 28, strengthened the mobility of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT in the local government area, with the presentation of new Siena Bus to leadership of the union.                                               

Our Ughelli South Bureau Chief, reports that Dr. Avweromre, also donated an 18 - Seater Toyota Hiace Bus to the Ughelli South Legislative Arm.                                    

The gesture, which was part of activities to mark the first 100 days in office of the Dr. Avweromre administration, also saw the Local Government Boss, presenting a Toyota Corolla Car to the Head of Works Department of Ughelli South Local Government Council.   

Presenting the vehicles at Ughelli South Council Secretariat in Otu - Jeremi, Dr. Avweromre highlighted that the purchase, commissioning and presentation of the different brand of vehicles were imperative to the smooth delivery of both legislative and administrative running of the council.

The chairman stated that, his administration was committed to espousing and complimenting the M.O.R.E. Agenda of the Executive Governor of Delta State adding that his cabinet would do all to sustain the tempo with his Peace, Unity, Innovation and Development (PUID) sub Agenda.

Recall that, in the past few days, Dr. Lucky Avweromre embarked on commissioning of various projects across Ewu, Olomu and Ughievwe, all of Ughelli South Local Government Area, to mark his first one hundred days in office. 

Reacting to the commissioning and presentation of the vehicles, the Leader of the Legislative Arm of Ughelli South, Rt Hon Mary Andrew Majemite, expressed elation at the 18 - seater Toyota Hiace bus presented to them, stressing that the Dr Avweromre's style of leadership is second to none. 

In the same vein, chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Ughelli South chapter, Comrade David Okoro profusely thanked the council chairman for the Siena bus adding that the gesture was a surprise package, even as he promised to put it into judicious use.

In a related appreciative mood, Head of Works Department said the official car would further enhance her performance and that of the entire department.
