The member representing Warri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Daniel Oritsegbubemi Reyenieju, DOR has described late Hon. Omawumi Beatrice Udoh “as a legislative Amazon” whose services will be highly missed by all.
Hon. Daniel Reyenieju who made the declaration in his welcome address during the symposium/awards organized by the Warri Federal Constituency Office in honour of late Hon. (Mrs.) Omawumi Udoh who represented Warri South Constituency1 before her demise, averred that the death of the lawmaker has brought pain to the hearts of her constituents “which she robustly represented in Delta State House of Assembly”.
According to the Federal Lawmaker and awards’ convener, late Udoh “fought doggedly to bring development and robust representation to people of Warri South Constituency1”.
He commended the Warri Federal Constituency Office and the Burial Committee of late Hon. Omawumi Udoh for partnering to organize the symposium.
Our Senior Correspondent reports that 23 past legislators from Warri, State and Federal Constituencies were awarded for meritorious services to Warri Constituency as well as to humanity as a whole.
The awardees include former Finance Minister, late Festus Okotie-Eboh, late Chief Arthur Reece Edukugho, Chief Isaac Jemide, Barr. D.S.T.O Pessu and Hon. Patrick Fregene.

One of the awardees, Barr. Pessu described Warri Federal Constituency as the wealthiest in Nigeria and wondered why it is lacking in terms of robust representation, electricity, good roads and other basic infrastructures.

Chairman of the event and Provost, College of Education, Warri, Prof. Mary Edema enjoined all to celebrate people while they are alive, just as she extolled the quality leadership of late Hon. (Mrs.) Udoh.
Lectures were delivered in different topics, ranging from medical science to physical living and politics by four Professors, three academic and non-academic professionals.
Some of those who delivered lectures at the symposium are: Prof. Lucky Akaruese, Prof. Obehi Okojie, Prof. Leslie Dabor and Dr. Badeno Ehis.
