Former President of Itsekiri National Youths Congress, INYC, Barr. Esimaje Awani, has dismissed insinuations that Tantita Security Services Limited, was invading Itsekiri communities, saying the company is only chasing crude oil thieves and pipeline vandals.

He noted that it was not out of place for Tantita Security Services Limited, saddled with the responsibility to protect pipelines, to provide the necessary intelligence that would enhance ongoing investigation by security agencies, to unravel those responsible for the recent pipeline blast, along Olero -Dibi - Abiteye Field.

Our Principal Correspondent, reports that Barr. Awani, made the clarification at GT. Event Centre, Warri, Delta State, Wednesday December 18, during a summit organised by his company, Nepal Logistics and Consultancy Services Limited, in Conjunction with Tantita Security Services Limited.

Speaking during the summit, tagged 'If you See Something, Say something’, Barr. Awani, noted that among the thousands of persons engaged directly by Tantita Security Services Limited, hundreds of them are under his company, Nepal Logistics and Consultancy Services Limited.

According to Awani, some of the Itsekiri community leaders benefitting from the engagement by Tantita Security Services Limited, are the ones sponsoring boys to say “nasty things about the security company.”

He cautioned against hate remarks, capable of instigating crisis between Ijaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo and Isoko ethnic nationalities.

The Warri-based serial entrepreneur, emphasized that pipeline vandalism, is alien to Itsekiri Nation, saying that any individual or group of persons responsible for pipeline vandalism, should be fished out and made to face the full weight of the law.

While advising people of Itsekiri communities to resist pipeline vandalism, Awani, said the pipeline security job awarded to Tantita Security Services Limited by NNPCL, was handled in the past by some Northerners.

He warned against further casting of aspersions against Tantita Security Services Limited and its owner, just as he described the ethnic colouration being given to the legitimate operation of the company, as dangerous and misleading.

Barr. Awani, commended the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (a.k.a Tompolo) Executive Director of the company, Engr. Kestin Pondi and other members of the management team, for their efficient service thus far, as regards pipeline protection in the company’s coverage areas.

Fresh Angle International, can report that the Chairman of HostCom Itsekiri Chapter, Itse Omajugho, was among speakers at the summit, which was attended by thousands of youths across Warri Communities.
