Dangote disowns Eoncraft Consultancy, says company’s action tantamount to fraud

Dangote Industries Limited, has disowned Eoncraft Consultancy, located at 25 Esther Adeleke, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria, accusing the company of falsely acting on its behalf by using Dangote Industries brand name, letterhead and branding to mislead the public and engage in fraudulent activities.

Fresh Angle International, can report that the allegation by Dangote Industries Limited, was extracted from “public disclaimer” posted Friday January 17 on the X handle of Dangote group.

The disclaimer, which was credited to the management of Dangote Industries Limited and dated January 13, noted inter-alia: “It has come to our attention that certain individuals and organisations, including Eoncraft Consultancy, located at 25 Esther Adeleke, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria, have been falsely claiming to act on behalf of Dangote Industries Limited ("Dangote"), using our name, letterhead, and branding to mislead the public and engage in fraudulent activities.

“Dangote Industries Limited wishes to categorically state as follows:

1. That our Company, Dangote Industries Limited has no partnership, affiliation, or authorised engagement with Eoncraft Consultancy or any other entities purporting to act on our behalf in the exportation of our products, including but not limited to sugar, salt, cement, urea, oil, and gas products.

2. That the use of Dangote's letterhead, logo, or any other proprietary identifiers by Eoncraft Consultancy or any other unauthorised entity is unauthorized by us and thereby constitutes attempt at defrauding the public. Such actions violate our intellectual property rights and constitute a misrepresentation of our company.

3. We advise the public, our valued customers, and business partners to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of any claims or communications purporting to be from Dangote Industries Limited. Official correspondence and transactions should only be conducted through our verified corporate channels and representatives.

4. Dangote Industries Limited is taking this matter seriously and has reported the unauthorised activities of Eoncraft Consultancy to the relevant law enforcement agencies for investigation and prosecution.

“We will pursue all available legal remedies to protect our name, brand, and reputation. We remain committed to conducting our business with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism and will not tolerate any activities that seek to exploit our name or reputation.”
