Navy reportedly dismantle illegal refinery in Tompolo's Gbaramatu


The Nigerian Navy, NN, has reportedly dismantled an illegal refinery in Yeye Creek, Gbaramatu in Warri South - West Local Government Area of Delta State.                      

 

Fresh Angle International understands that discovery of the illegal refinery and its subsequent dismantling by the Nigerian Navy, sparked outrage on social media, with some Nigerians querying the capacity of Tantita Security Services Limited, the indigenous company purportedly responsible for protecting critical oil and gas pipelines in the affected axis. Yeye Creek in Gbaramatu, was said to be the country - home of key leaders of Tantita Security Services.       

 

 

According to a statement reportedly shared on the Navy’s official Facebook channel ,on Tuesday, 15th April, personnel aboard Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Delta located the illicit site which contained 15 pits filled with stolen crude oil and large quantities of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).

 

The statement, noted : "The Navy is commitment to curbing crude oil theft and illegal refining activities in the Niger Delta region."

 

One viral comment referenced Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, a firm reportedly receiving substantial government funding to protect pipelines.

 

According to the online comment, this is the home of the Tantita boss, who receives 4 Billion Naira every month from the Federal Government to protect pipeline and stop crude oil bunkering.

 

Report claims the commentator, described the development as a shame, saying the contract should be revoked as a result of the company's performance.
