Fix the failed section of Shaguolo road, Commuters appeal to Governor Oborevwori
The failed section of Shaguolo Road

Commuters plying the busy Shaguolo Road in Uvwie Local Government Area, most of whom are residents in Ubeji, Warri South Local Government Area and Jeddo in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, have appealed to the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to fix failed section of the road, leading to Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC and the densely populated Jeddo and Ubeji towns.

Our Managing Editor/Co-Publisher, reports that the commuters, made the appeal Wednesday June 4, during an exclusive interview at Shaguolo in Uvwie Local Government Area.

A commercial tricycle (Keke) rider, who pleaded anonymity, said they were begging the state government and owners of tank farms in Ubeji to come to their aid, noting that tricycles fall almost on daily basis in the failed section of the road.

According to the tricycle rider, over 100 tankers pass through the failed section of the Shaguolor road daily, praying that none of the tankers carrying petroleum products, fall on the road and cause severe human casualties.

The road was reconstructed and commissioned by former Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa about two and half years ago.
