Former President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Papa Ayodele Joseph Oritsejafor, has described the late Dr. Uma Ukpai, as a brother in heart and a man whose zeal for God, deep humility and love for souls, were contagious.
Papa Oritsejafor, in a Facebook post Monday October 13, said the transited Dr. Ukpai, was more than a minister, a true giant of faith and a cherished friend.
The globally renowned cleric, who made the post while reacting to the reported death of Dr. Ukpai, stated: “Today, I celebrate the incredible life of Dr. Uma Ukpai. A true giant of faith and my cherished friend.
“He was more than a minister; he was a brother in heart. His zeal for God, deep humility, and love for souls, were contagious.
“We shared laughter, prayers, and a passion for the Kingdom. His encouragement lifted me, and his legacy will never dim.
“Rest in glory, my dear friend.
“Heaven’s brighter with you.”
The family of Rev. (Dr.) Uma Ukpai, founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, earlier Monday, announced Dr. Ukpai’s passing at the age of 80.
In the statement, the family disclosed that the foremost Christian Cleric died October 6 2025.
