A Rejoinder/Counter To The Recent Press Statement/ Publication By Kalm Marine And Petroleum Services Ltd

A Rejoinder/Counter To The Recent Press Statement/ Publication By Kalm Marine And Petroleum Services Ltd Containing False Allegation Of Persistent Attack By Non-Existing Community Described As Ogbanabou Federated Communities Diebiri Clan, Delta State Made In the Month Of October, 2025,

We the leadership and the esteemed people of the ancient OGBANABOU FEDERATED COMMUNITIES-DIEBIRI CLAN IN WARRI SOUTH WEST Local Government Area, Delta State Nigeria, under the leadership of Alex Ebi Fenimine led administration.

We as the original owners/occupants of the territory covering the land where Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd is situated and its surroundings, have the full authority, consent, and mandate of the elders, leaders, women, youths, and the entire good people of the ancient (OGBANABOU) our ancestral village which has been in existence from time immemorial to respond to the aforesaid false allegation as follows.

First and foremost, it is necessary for us to quickly correct the false, and mischievously fabricated online social media-publication peddled by the supposed management of Kalm marine and Petroleum Services Ltd.

It is with utmost dismay that we the people of Ogbanabou are peaceful and law abiding citizens of the federal republic of Nigeria, why should we be subjected to such serious cyber social media-ridicule, vicious, bullying and humiliation, perpetrated by the supposed management of KALM MARINE AND PETROLEUM SERVICES LTD, particularly as it pertain to press release made recently in the month of October 2025, and reported in various social media such as WAFFI TV on the 21st October, 2025, Peb news on 22nd October, 2025 and Niger-Delta Mirror on 23 October, 2025. We consider this negative publication not just an embarrassment, but a deformation and character assassination as this falsehood has brought to the leadership and the esteemed people of Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Can into disrepute, and to mislead the general public and the security agencies, it is therefore imperative that this misconception be cleared.

Further, we doubt earnestly if the management of KALM MARINE AND PETROLUEM SERVICES LTD actually authorized or made the said false press statement, but if indeed it is from their management then it is most saddening and unfortunate that the management would indulge in such recklessness and illegality.

Besides, it is most disappointing that despite our official correspondence, Kalm Marine and Petroleum services Ltd still decide to pretend to be in ignorant as to the originality of our ancestral existence and ownership as the people of the OGBANABOU land.

The OGBANABOU is our ancestral home, which is the OGBANABOU FEDERATED COMMUNITIES-DIEBIRI CLAN and it consist of: Ogbanabou, Bulobu-Ugbana, Couplegbene, Ndorougbene, Ugbanabubou etc. The ancient Ogbanabou, our ancestral village has long been in existence from time immemorial and even older than the Izansa, Ijelejele, and Ikeremor villages.

We the people of Ogbanabou federated Communities-Diebiri clan are not a faceless group claiming to be land owners as wrongly peddled in the said online publication. We are real, we are the original owners/occupants of the land. The whole area describes as Ogbanabou marginal field, where Kalm marine and petroleum services Ltd is carrying out its operation, belongs to us and we remains the owners of the land. It is preposterous and cruel of whosoever or group of persons that is misleading Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd to make such false predication is only misguiding the company. We will surely show and prove to Kalm Marine and Petroleum services Ltd that we are not fictitious communities, but real existing communities. We are the land owners, our ancestral home Ogbanabou is there and our surrounding villages prove that we are the aboriginal of the ancient Ogbanabou land and its surroundings.

This concerted effort to dispossess us of our God given land and disinherit us from our ancestral heritage will surely be resisted.

We make bold to state that the said Efietonghan Family (which) Kalm Marine and Petroleum services Ltd claimed to have dealing with as an impacted family, through pastor Samuel Ako, Henry Suoware and Orubu Emmanuel do not represent the Ogbanabou communities. These names you mentioned are not representatives of the Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan. The former chairman of the Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan of the fietonghan family as at then is Hon. Frank Pukon and not Orubu Emmanuel, Henry Suoware and Pst. Samuel Ako. These three persons never represented the Ogbanabou people. They are not even members of the Efietonghan family and never were they issued any authority or power of attorney to act for the family or in the interest of the entire Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan. Any Individual or group of individuals parading themselves outside the legally and legitimately constituted leadership of the Ogbanabou Federal Communities-Diebiri Clan are imposters and usurper and will be treated as such.

We also make bold to state that there is nothing like any form of payment made to the Efietonghan family for the people of the Ogbanabou from Kaim Marine and petroleum services Ltd.

Also we state categorically that there has never been any physical Invasion or attack on Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd Operational Base in our Ogbanabou land. This is because what we as the host communities did as host communities who are facing exclusion from Kalm Marine & Petroleum Services Limited was to protest peacefully on the 26th day of June, 2025, in line with the provision of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and we duly informed all the relevant security agencies and never broke the law. Therefore any false statement of persistent attack or invasion is not true, but a falsehood calculated to mislead the general public, and most especially the security agencies. By its false statement, Kalm Marine and petroleum Services Ltd management Is only trying to give the good people of Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan who have followed all due processes of law to defend and protect the ownership of our ancestral land Ogbanabou, a bad name, only because we demand for what is legitimately ours. We challenge Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd management, to show any such proof other than the peaceful protest we carried out on the 26th day of June, 2025.

We also make bold to state that it is against all legal sensibility, sanity and civility that a company as Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd management without carefully studying the said judgment to use it as evidence in support of their false allegation in a matter we are not party to.

We must be quick to state that the judgment No: CA/B/137/87 between Kenerkedi, Bebeakele and 2 ors vs. Olokpa Olioki have no connection with Ogbanabou, Efietonghan, or the Igade family in Diebiri clan. The said judgement has no connection with ownership of our Ogbanabou land. One may begin to wonder if Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd legal department is aware or duly consulted about these references to suit No: CA/B/137/87 between Kenerkedi Bebeakele and 2 ors vs. Olokpa Olioki as a bases of proof of ownership of land.

For your information, the judgement you cited upon is specifically for Ikeremor Village and it has no connectivity with our God given Ogbanabou Land.

There is no authority given to any individual or group of individuals mandating or directing them to act on behalf of the Ogbanabou people, of Efietoghan or Igade family in Diebiri Clan to sign any document with shell or any other company on our behalf.

Finally, we cannot be cajoled or cowed by gruesomely misplaced press statement deliberately orchestrated in the name of Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd, with a view to stopping our already published final ultimatum to Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd with all government departments, security agencies duly notified of our right over our land presently occupied by Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd without compliance with the PIA law or a need for a discussion and settlement.

We are most definitely serious about our final Ultimatum, we are people of Ogbanabou and citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd is in our land. If they so refused to deal with us as their host then let them move to where Izansa/Ijelejele/Ikeremor is located and carry out their operation on their land. Until that is done we as Ogbanabou people will not accept neo-colonization or divide and rule or any form of marginalization. We will resist, and will resist this grievous injustice.

Be rest assured that we will not be tamed or intimidated by any strategy, tactics or antics whether by Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd or any such other, villages, communities, can and kingdoms because we have the full backing of truth with the support of Almighty God and our Ancestors founder and owner of the Ogbanabu land.

We strongly advise the management of Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Ltd to quickly come to reason to put an end to these impending issues by officially inviting the representatives of Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri clan, to address the issues contained in our protest press release dated on the 26th day of June 2025 to avoid the possible shut down of your operation in our land Ogbanabou. As we, as a people will not cede any part of our land because of any purported judgement where we're not parties or any signatories to documents we never authorized. It is our land we will do everything to protect and defend it.

Alex Ebi Fenimine,
