Founder and CEO of OMO Foundation, Dr. Oritsegbebemi Maurice Ojoede, who doubles as Executive Assistant, Political to the Delta State Governor, says his distribution of 200 bags of rice to over 150 persons in Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area, was not about politics, but humanitarian gesture.

Our Co-Publisher/Managing Editor, reports that Dr. Ojo-Ede, made the clarification Monday December 22, while gifting the bags of rice to residents of the ancient town of Koko.

The bags of rice, which were in 5kg,10kg, 25kg and 50kg, lit up the moods of residents of the Warri North Local Government headquarter as the recounted several humanitarian gestures carried out by the OMO Foundation since inception.

"It has not been easy, but we thank the Almighty God, without whom none of this would be possible," Dr. Ojoede said.

He extended special appreciation to Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his unwavering support, stating, "Without him, we wouldn't be able to do this."

Fresh Angle International, can report that the distribution targeted families in the town, with Dr. Ojoede, assuring those who did not receive rice this time that the Foundation offers ongoing programmes, including scholarships for indigent students, payment of UTME registration fees and initiatives focused on the girl-child.

"This is not about politics; it is a humanitarian programme," Dr. Ojoede stressed, highlighting that Governor Oborevwori is widely recognized for his humanitarian disposition.

Established in 2019, the OMO Foundation, has consistently provided humanitarian services over the years, including food distributions, borehole projects for clean water, Agricultural support, and educational empowerment.

The Foundation recently marked its 5th anniversary with the commissioning of boreholes in Koko, further demonstrating its commitment to sustainable community development.

Dr. Ojoede, reiterated his thanks to Governor Oborevwori for his constant support to the Foundation and to the great people of Delta State.

Residents of Koko expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a timely boost during the festive period.

The OMO Foundation continues to serve as a beacon of hope in Warri North and beyond.

Director of General Hospital, Koko, Dr. Umokoro Samson, commended Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojo-Ede (OMO) Foundation for the humanitarian services to the residents of Koko.

Dr. Umokoro, expressed profound gratitude, highlighting the Foundation's impactful contributions to the community.

"If more people can emulate this kind of selfless service, Nigeria would be a much better place and fewer citizens would feel the need to travel out of the country in search of opportunities", the medic stated.

An official of General Hospital, Koko, who didn’t mention his name, thanked Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojoede (OMO) Foundation, for providing free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration that benefited his daughter.

He said the initiative significantly eased his financial burdens, during a challenging period.

"At the time of the enrolment, I was not financially buoyant.

"The free JAMB registration lifted a heavy burden off my shoulders. It was something I truly appreciated."

He commended the CEO for his ongoing philanthropic efforts, highlighting the positive impact on the Koko community. "I thank the CEO for his good works that he has been doing in the Koko community," he added.
