We're proud of him, recipients react as Chief Emami empowers coastal dwellers with motorbikes, money, bags of rice, cows

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Ayirimi Emami, on Saturday February 14, empowered hundreds of people of Ugborodo Federated Communities and Ugbeogungun in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, giving out motorbikes, cash worth millions of naira, bags of rice and cows.

Our Principal Correspondent, reports that Chief Emami, did the presentation via his NGO, Ayirimi Emami Foundation, at an elaborate ceremony held in Akpakpa -Ajudaibo, Ugborodo.

While presenting the items, Chief Emami promised to sustain showing of love to the people during Valentine and beyond, saying it's the second edition of the empowerment programme which he started in 2025 with donation of 40 engine boats, fishing nets and others.

The five Ugborodo Federated Communities are Ode-Ugborodo, Ogidigben, Ajudaibo, Madangho and Ijaghala.

According to Chief Emami, the gesture came out of his good heart of appreciating the people, saying it's not political, appreciation to the coastal dwellers for their sustained support for the Tinubu administration and for voting him in 2023.

He lauded President Tinubu for lighting up Ugnorodo Federated Communities, through the NDDC and for appointing Itsekiri indigenes such as Engr. Omatsola Ogbe and Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan as heads of key federal parastatals.

The prime Warri Chief, stated: "The few votes we have came from these individuals. There’s a saying that to whom much is given, much is expected. I certainly appreciate the support they have provided, and I make it a point to express my gratitude. In our first edition on February 14, 2025, we distributed 40 engine boats to those who had supported us in Warri South -West Local Government Area. This time, I provided motorbikes for transportation, as you can see.

"What I am doing here is my own small way of giving back. I want to clarify that my actions are not for the upcoming election. Some may think I am only hosting gatherings, because the election is approaching, but I want to emphasise that I genuinely want to share moments with you ( referring to the recipients) celebrate together, enjoy meal, and ensure that you leave with something for your families. That is the essence of my efforts, and I hope to continue this.

"Looking ahead, the election is approaching in 2027. We now have Governor Sherif in power. Previously, we lacked representation in the governor’s office, local government, and the House of Assembly. As you can see, everyone is now aligned with the APC. The NDDC, with the support of the President, has accomplished much for our community. They have installed solar lights and are working on concrete roads, shore protection, and reclamation projects for this community. It is important to note that the NDDC operates as a federal agency and does not require Asiwaju (President Bola Ahmed Tinubu) to visit to effect change.

"The federal government is also planning more initiatives, including engineering drawings for the Omadino-Excravos Road, These advancements would not be possible without the efforts of the President, and the governor has expressed his support for these projects. Once completed, this will serve as a coastal route from Lagos to the Niger Delta, effectively linking Omadino to Ugborodo.

"We have already seen developments at our doorstep, and that is what we aspire to achieve. Because of our vision, we remain committed to this progress. Thank you for your attention. Expressing love does not always require hosting large gatherings or parties; there are various ways to show appreciation. I strive to give back to those who support me. While politics is intertwined with my work, I am fundamentally a businessman".

Fresh Angle International can report that others who spoke during the empowerment include Chief Michael Odeli, Chairman Delta State Security Trust Funds, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, Freeborn Atsepoyi, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, National Youth President of Ugborodo Federated Communities, Wilson Ejeh, Chairmen of the five Ugnorodo federated communities, Louis Timeyin- Ode-Ugborodo, Joseph Dore -Ogidigben, Madangho- Sylvester Udonju, Amos Daje- Ajudaibo and Abiloye Edema- Ugbeogungun. The chairmen and other beneficiaries, commended Chief Emami for his support and love, praying God to continually blessing him in all his endeavours.
