Warri South Local Education Authority Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, MPCS, has attained another milestone, with the allocation of 125 plots of land to its financial subscribers, Fresh Angle International, can report.n report.

President of Warri South LEA Staff MPCS Limited, Pastor Godwin Aganozor, in his remarks during the allotment Tuesday March 31 at Obodo Cooperative land in Warri South Local Government Area, said it was a milestone and another landmark in the history of Warri South LEA MPCS Ltd.

Pastor Aganozor, described Warri South LEA MPCS Ltd as one of the fastest growing Co-operative Societies in Delta State, with over 500 members, assuring that the Cooperative is committed, focused and dedicated to promoting the welfare of members in particular and the society in general.

He noted that Obodo community was the second community that the co-operative acquired acres of land for her members, saying they had acquired acres of land from Otomewo community in Okpe Local Government Area.

The Christian Cleric, commended members of the cooperative, the Executive Secretary, Local Education Authority, Warri South, Madam Augusta Omatsone, Obodo Community Elders’ Council, Chairman of Obodo Community Management Trust, Mr. John Awala and his Exco, for their support towards making the allotment a reality.

The Executive Secretary, LEA, Warri South, Madam Augusta Omatsone, praised location of the land, describing the investment as a wise decision for the cooperators.

She appreciated the efforts and commitment of the leadership of the Warri South LEA MPCS in achieving such a commendable success.

Chairman of the Warri South LEA MPCS land Committee, Mr. Roy Ajuyah, explained that the Cooperative started acquiring land three years ago at Otomiewo community in Okpe Local Government Area, where they bought over 20 acres of land and allocated to about 90 subscribers, which increased to over 125 subscribers, with allocation of land at Obodo Community.

Ajuyah, assured that in the next three years, the cooperative will do same by acquiring more lands elsewhere for financial subscribers, in order to make their dream of owning houses of their own a reality. 

He urged members of the public, who are willing to join the cooperative, to avail themselves of the opportunity, emphasizing that the cooperative is focused on making Warri South LEA Staff MPCS estate, a dream come through.

According to him, the payment plan, include outright payment, a year plan, a year and six months and maximum three years.

 

 

 

 Mr. Ajuyah disclosed that the cooperative was fashioning out ways to assist subscribers in the building projects, by granting loans to them.

Some members of the Warri South LEA Staff MPCS, Elders Council members of Obodo Community, Pa. Johnson Besidone, Pa. Awinoren Maku, Vice Chairman of Obodo Community Management Trust, Alfred Okotie and Michael Keke- Assistant Secretary of Obodo Community Management Trust, were among persons present during the ceremony.
