Hon. Sylvester Oromoni

The Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, has assured staffers of Warri South-West Local Government Council, that his administration, will not relent in prioritising their welfare.

The Local Government Boss, who gave the assurance in his ‘2026 WORKERS’ DAY MESSAGE’ acknowledged that this is not the easiest time to be a Nigerian worker, with fuel, transport and food costs still high.

Our Warri South-West Bureau Chief, reports that Hon. Oromoni, stressed the need for the political and civil service class in the Council, to renew the commitment to service, integrity and excellence.

The Chairman’s statement, reads inter-alia: “To the hard-working staff of Warri South-West, on behalf of the political leadership and myself, we celebrate you today knowing this is not the easiest time to be a Nigerian worker. With fuel, transport, and food costs still high, your ability to report to duty and serve our people is heroic.

“Your labour is the backbone of this Council. From the Secretariat to the riverine wards, we see your sacrifice. Thank you for serving with dedication and resilience, despite the challenges.

“This administration will not relent in prioritising your welfare. You are not just workers, but nation builders. In this new year of labour, let us renew our commitment to service, integrity, and excellence.

“Together, we will build a Warri South-West that works for all.”
