DTHA 2027: Opuoru refutes speculations of stepping down, says he's still strongly in the race

Former member of Delta State House of Assembly and strong contender for the Warri South Constituency II ticket of All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, has refuted speculations that he has stepped down from the race.

Opuoru, who's the immediate past  Special Adviser on Environment to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori , described the speculations as calculated attempts to disenfranchise his teeming supporters in the APC and Warri South Constituency II as a whole.

The APC Chieftain, in a telephone chat with Fresh Angle International Saturday morning, May 16, stated that his resolve to take on other aspirants for the Warri South Constituency II APC ticket, remains resolute, urging his supporters to remain focused on the party primaries, which would be direct mode.

Whilst emphasising his commitment to the APC and utmost loyalty to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon. Opuoru, stressed the need for party faithful and fellow contestants to stop peddling speculations capable of promoting disunity in the APC.
