The seeming sole candidacy the leadership of All Progressives Congress in Delta State, controversially gave Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, to re-contest the Warri South-West Constituency seat in the 2027 polls, has come under threat, following the emergence of Hon. Emiko Odin-Etuwewe as PDP candidate.
Fresh Angle International, can report that Hon. Emiko Odin-Etuwewe, a former Leader of Warri South-West Legislative Arm and until recently, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, emerged the Warri South-West PDP candidate in a consensus primary held Friday May 22 at Ogbe-Ijoh in Warri South-West Local Government Area.
The primary, which was attended by prominent leaders of the PDP in Warri South-West Local Government Area, including Chairman of PDP in the local government, Mr. David Oligida, was reportedly monitored by INEC officials and personnel from the DSS.

This Newspaper understands that the David Oligida led PDP, enjoys the backing of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, with Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman of the party and Dr. Peter Mrakpor (SAN) as the Delta State Chairman.
Hon. Odin-Etuwewe, who spoke exclusively to This Flagship Niger Delta Digital Newspaper, shortly after the primary, promised the people of Warri South-West Constituency justice, peace and unity as well as people-centered and development-driven representation, if given the mandate in the forthcoming 2027 polls.
