A 25-year old father of 3 children, one Mr. Anthony Andiye on Monday October 15, lost his 3-year old daughter, Rachael to flood in Enebogbene Community, Warri South West local government area of Delta State, Fresh Angle can authoritatively report.
Mr. Anthony Andiye who spoke to newsmen Thursday October 18 at Enebogbene community explained that he and his wife were inside their apartment thinking that their 3 children were inside when suddenly they realized that their only daughter, Rachael has been swept away by the ravaging flood.
Mr. Andiye who gave the names of his children as Jeffery, Michael and Rachael appealed to Delta State government to come to the aid of Enebogbene community, adding that indigenes of the community are dying of hunger as a result of the ravaging flood.
Two teachers of Aparibodo Primary School, Enebogbene, Mr. Government Rolland and Mr. Oyakemefegha Torch who bare the mind of indigenes of the community told newsmen that their fish ponds, livestock and farmlands have been submerged by the flood.
As at the time of filing this report institutions so far affected by the flash flood in Enebogbene community are Aparibodo Primary School and St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Fresh Angle gathered that since the ravaging flood hit Enebogbene, a total of three persons, including Mr. Anthony Andiye’s daughter have so far lost their lives.
