Vocal Itsekiri advocacy group, Voice of Warri Kingdom Women Initiative, VWKWI, has exonerated the chairman of UISL, Mr. Wilson Odogene, over non - implementation of salary increase of certain contract workers at Chevron Nigeria Limited facility in Ugborodo, Warri South - West Local Government Area.
The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, had sometime in 2025, reportedly demanded increase in the salary of the affected workers, with feelers indicating that the demand was yet to be implemented.
Voice of Warri Kingdom Women Initiative, was subsequently misinformed by some of the affected contract workers that Mr. Wilson Odogene, was responsible for non - implementation of the Warri Monarch's demand, prompting the group to intervene and made a podcast in - line with the misinformation.
President of Voice of Warri Kingdom Women Initiative, Mrs. Vivian Eric - Mene, who spoke to Fresh Angle International, in a telephone chat Saturday July 25, stated that after due diligence, the group found out that Mr. Wilson Odogene, was wrongly accused.
She apologized to Mr. Odogene, appealing to him to forgive those responsible for misinforming Voice of Warri Kingdom Women Initiative.
