The Registrar-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Corporate Affairs Commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, has charged the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited ,NCGC, to strive hard to realize its objectives in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Fresh Angle International understands that Magaji made the promise Wednesday while receiving the Managing Director/CEO of NCGC, Bonaventure Okhaimo, on a courtesy visit in his office in Abuja.
The CAC boss stressed the need for the NCGC to leverage the potentials of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) ecosystem to drive economic growth and development.
While stating the Commission’s readiness to collaborate with the NCGC to enable it achieve its mandate, the Registrar-General enjoined the Company to leverage the Commission’s portal to verify the compliance status of their prospective clients.
Speaking earlier, the Managing Director/CEO of NCGC, Mr. Bonaventure Okhaimo, highlighted some of the giant strides of the one-year-old agency established by the present administration to stimulate MSMEs growth and development.
He applauded the Commission’s reform initiatives and expressed optimism that with CAC’s support, the NCGC would achieve its goals and objectives.
CAC News reports that the NCGC was established by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address one of the most enduring structural constraints to Nigeria’s economic development: the inability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, local manufacturers, and underserved economic actors to access sustainable, long-term finance through Partial Credit Guarantees.
