DTHA 2027: Merogun inaugurates campaign team, empowers over 100 W/South I constituents

The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC Candidate for Warri South Constituency I in the forthcoming 2027 general elections, Michael Merogun PhD, has inaugurated his campaign team and coordinators across the six wards that make up Warri South Constituency I.

While constituting the campaign team Wednesday October 28 at Ugbuwangue in Warri, the Delta State House of Assembly hopeful, charged members of the team, to be committed and unite, to dislodge the incumbent member representing the constituency in the state legislature.

Dr. Merogun, expressed delight for the overwhelming support during the inauguration, assuring his supporters of sustained engagement and town hall meetings, if given the mandate to represent Warri South Constituency I, come February 2027.

He disclosed that the empowerment programme of Wednesday October 28, was the fourth in the series, saying Dr. Augustine Uroye, who currently represents Warri South Constituency I, has failed to engage the constituents.

Our Principal Correspondent, reports that Dr. Merogun, gave out cash to over 100 constituents, to support their businesses and family, so as to mitigate the cost of living crisis.

He urged people of Warri South Constituency I, to vote for NDC candidates in the incoming polls, promising to focus his campaign on the unity and peaceful co-existence of the different ethnic groups in the area.

Dr. Merogun, emphasized that if elected, he will ensure Warri port is fully revitalized, adding that quality education, security of lives and property, economic empowerment and infrastructural as well as community development, will be enhanced.
