RATTAWU begins N15 million project in Delta

The Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU, Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri Chapter has commenced the construction of a N15 million Secretariat that will comprise of an event centre, Fresh Angle International can report.

The Chairman of RATTAWU DBS Warri, Comrade Isaac Oboh who spoke Friday May 5 at the premises of Delta Broadcasting Service Warri during the ground -breaking ceremony of the multimillion naira secretariat, stated that his leadership gave DBS Warri Perimeter Fencing a facelift with fresh painting and bought Mower Machine for the clearing of over-grown weeds in the Delta State owned media house.

He appealed to corporate bodies and staffers of DBS Warri to support RATTAWU towards the actualization of the project in record time.

The Vice Chairman of RATTAWU DBS Warri, Comrade Kingsley Agho appealed to development agencies like NDDC and DESOPADEC as well as well-meaning individuals and corporate bodies to support the union to make the project a reality.

The Ovie of Agbarha Kingdom, Warri, Orhifi II enjoined Deltans and other friends of DBS Warri to contribute their quota towards making the station one to beat in the South-South geopolitical zone.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that others who spoke at the event include: the Chairman, Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Sir Olumami Oyibo, the General Manager DBS Warri, Mr. Tunde Omonode Igrammar, represented by the Deputy General Manager, DGM, Audit, Comrade Fred Umukoro, Caretaker Committee Chairman, Delta State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Daniel Oji and Pioneer State Treasurer of RATTAWU, Harold Ikuku.
