Feelers just reaching Fresh Angle International say a young Itsekiri man believed to be about 35 years old has been shot dead at WRPC Jetty at NPDC yard in Ifiekporo, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State by a Navy Personnel attached to the oil and gas outfit.
The young man identified simply as Agbolu, Ifiekporo Community liaison Officer, CLO to A&E Petrol was shot dead at about 3pm today, Friday May 12 when he and some Ifiekporo indigenes allegedly failed to reach a compromise with an Ekpan born contractor given the job to repair the failed jetty.
The contractor reportedly contacted some Ekpan youths, possibly to ward off any confrontation. It was in the course of the ensuring disagreement that the unidentified Naval Personnel shot and killed Agbolu, a young man with two children, even as speculation also has it that one of the Ekpan youths was equally shot dead by the Naval Personnel.
It would be recalled that another Itsekiri young man, Omas Dottie was killed by an unidentified policeman in December 2016 at Ifiekporo and his corpse is still in the morgue as his family are pursuing legal battle with NNPC.
