The aspirant, Harrison Aimofumeh who is aspiring to become chairman of Etsako Eastlocal government area of Edo State issued a N10, 000.00 cheque to one Patrick Ochei of a community tabloid, Afenmai Newspurportedly for fuelling, only for the reporter to reach the bank (UBA) anddiscover there is no money in the said account. Efforts to get the chairmanshipaspirant redeem his reputation by clearing the cheque has been unsuccessful asat press time. Fresh Angle could not reach the chairmanship aspirant on phoneafter several attempts.

Meanwhile,Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State have kept politicians and localgovernment administrators guessing on whether he will appoint CaretakerCommittees to run local government councils in the state on not. An informedsource in one of the local government councils in the state hinted FreshAngle that while the Governor appears indisposed to the CaretakerCommittees due to the wage implications, recent incidents in some localCouncils where Directors of Personnel Management appears mismanaging the fundsmay force the Governor to appoint Caretaker Committees to pilot the affairs ofthe councils pending the conduct of local government elections.
